Third Request for a Special Meeting Additional Proposal

The email sent to the Member Clubs on 7/22/2023 is a 3rd request for a Special Meeting by a group of Member Clubs. The purpose of the 6/8 Proposal #3 is to provide a way to fairly and equitably manage the size of the annual Master National Invitational Event in order to showcase each year’s most accomplished dog/handler teams, and to do so in a cost-effective and efficient manner, both for the Master National Retriever Club, our Member Clubs and individual participants as well. This is a stand-alone vote for the 6/8 Proposal only.

MAILED BALLOTS MUST BE RECEIVED NO LATER THAN 11:59 pm CST August 31, 2023. 

Special Meeting to be held September 1, 2023 

An additional request for a Third Special Meeting of the Master National Retriever Club has been received from several MNRC Member Clubs proposing a solution to the challenges facing the Master National Retriever Club. The request was submitted 7/21/2023. The purpose of this change is to provide a way to fairly and equitably manage the size of the annual Master National Invitational Event in order to showcase each year’s most accomplished dog/handler teams, and to do so in a cost-effective and efficient manner, both for the Master National Retriever Club, our member clubs and individual participants as well.

 As per the Bylaws Article VIII Section 2. b. Upon receipt of requests in writing from not less than (5) member clubs, in which case the secretary of this club shall call and duly give notice of a special meeting of this club, stating the purpose, time and place thereof. 

The date of the special meeting will be September 1, 2023. No in person meeting will be held.  The proposal has been sent to the member clubs. All votes from member clubs will be due by August 31, 2023, by 11:59 pm CST. All votes will be electronic. The results of the Member Club Votes will be recorded, and the results distributed to the Member Clubs on September 1, 2023, at noon.
