A new Region IV Director has been appointed by the Master National Board of Directors. Ed Ryska of Petaluma, California will replace Annette T. Pacheco as she becomes the new Region IV Vice President. Welcome Aboard Ed and thank you for your service.

My wife, Edwina and I have been in Goldens for over 49 years, showing in Field, Agility, Obedience and Tracking. We have been proud breeders of many titled performance goldens, including 3 FC/AFC goldens under the Emberain prefix. We have bred, and I have owned and trained and handled 9 Master Hunters. Our most current achievement was qualifying and finishing the 2022 Master National Hunt Test with AGCH MACH8 Emberain Red Rum Punch MH19 MXG2 MJB3 MFC TQX T2B5 PDS PJS WCX CCA ADHF OS.
I am serving as President of Marin Retriever Club, an all-breed Master National member club. I have had the honor of gunning and running as test dog at Master National – 2006 Morgan Hill, CA. Most recently gunning at the 2022 Master National.
Edwina and I have been members of NORCAL Golden Retriever Club since 1977, honored as NorCal Lifetime Members (2002). I’ve served as NORCAL’s Field VP, and am currently a serving board member.
I handle our dogs in field events and Edwina handles them primarily in Agility, Rally and Obedience. Edwina is also a life member of Golden Retriever Club of America (2003.)
I am a fully pointed Retriever Field Trial judge. I have judged multiple Golden WC/WCX tests over the years. Most recently NorCal GRC Specialty WC/WCX in April 2022 and the GRCA National Specialty WCX in 2019. I will be judging the Golden Retriever Club of America National in 2023. After being encouraged to become a Hunt Test judge by my friends and club members, I have begun the process.
