First Time Breeds Earn MNH Title

A Standard Poodle and a Boykin Spaniel are first in their breeds to be Hall of Fame retrievers.

Congratulations to Duxbury My Ten Cents MH51 MNH SHU, call name Dime on becoming the first Poodle in history to receive an AKC Master National Hunter (MNH) title. Dime is bred, owned, trained by Jack Combs of Advance, NC.

With this title, Dime becomes a member of the 2023 AKC Retriever Hall of Fame…a first for her breed.  Dime Qualified in 2019, 2021 and 2023. Dime’s three Master National passes earned her Owner/Breeder and Handler Jack D. Combs an Amateur Team Excellent Award from the Master National Retriever Club.  

Dime’s dam Bibelot’s Tolka Hands Up MH81 was the first Poodle to ever Qualify at a Master National. Her Sire is CH Lemerle Silk Tie CD MH UWCX MHU owned by Lin Gelbman. Ten qualified in 2009 and 2012.

And Congratulations to Killian’s Knight Watcher MHR, MNH, call name Ranger, owned and bred by James Killian of Fountain Inn, SC on his MNH title. Ranger is the first Boykin Spaniel to earn an MNH title. His Sire is KJ Just Buck MHR and Dam Killian’s Bailey On Tap MHR. Ranger is handled by Rhett Riddle and qualified in 2021, 2022 and 2023.

Other Breeds that have earned the MNH titles are Labrador Retriever, Golden Retriever, Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Flat-Coat Retriever and Curly-Coat Retriever.
