PennVant Land
This test is a Land Triple, with a pheasant flyer, double blind and honor. Bird #1 is a dead pheasant from the middle station, thrown right to left and lands approximately 127 yds from the line. Bird #2 is a pheasant flyer from the right station, thrown left to right and lands 106 yds from the line.
Bird #3 is a dead pheasant from the left station, thrown right to left and lands about 91 yds from the line. After picking up the marks, the handlers are allowed to pick up the two blinds in any order but must declare which blind they are picking up. The left-hand blind is 103 yds from the line, and the right-hand blind is 111 yds from the line.
The test concludes with an honor of the next working dog. The judges designated the left blind as the primary blind in this test. The primary designation means that this blind is always run. If this test is a flight’s first land series, both blinds are picked up. If this test is the second land test for a flight, only the primary blind is picked up. Also, if the test is the second land test for a flight there is no honor of the next dog.
