MNRC Foundation & AKC Join Hurricane Relief Effort

The Master National Retriever Club Foundation (MNRCF) is presenting a Relief Effort Challenge to the Retriever community. We are asking for your help in supporting the AKC Canine Relief Fund.  Here’s how you can become a part of a call to help.
Out of our love for dogs; in recognition of retriever enthusiasts who personally responded to the storms’ impacts by rescuing dogs & their owners and for providing support for both at their own expense; and in response to the devastation and impact on dogs and their owners from epic Hurricanes Harvey & Irma, the Foundation has received a challenge to match, dollar for dollar, every dollar given to the Foundation restricted for the AKC Canine Relief Fund up to $10,000.
The MNRC board approved their support of this challenge and immediately committed a $1,000 gift to the Foundation, so we only have $9,000 to go; if totally successful, we can give $20,000 to help these animals and folks. The MNRC Board of Directors also agreed to advise its members and participants of their support and encourages you (individuals, retriever clubs, owners, handlers, etc.) to support this effort with a gift to the Foundation.
You can learn more about how the gifts will be used by going to www.akcreunite.org. However, they provide much needed support to local shelters as well as first responders. The MNRCF is a 501, (c), (3) Foundation (EIN 46-3114401), and your gift is a charitable contribution with all the benefits allowed by the IRS law.
Your check should be made payable to: MNRCF and mailed to MNRCF Treasurer, Jimmy Hughes, P.O. Box 444, Columbia, TN 38402- 0444. If you have questions, please contact MNRCF President, Bill Teague at either ta9@hughes.net or 713-252-3918.
