MNRC Call for Donations

The qualification period for the 2019 Master National Retriever Club Annual Event closes in less than 20 days.  Best of luck to all!
The MNRC Annual Event is undoubtedly the world’s largest canine retriever event year after year.  We trust all are in training for the 2019 event which takes place Oct. 17-27th.   It will be held in Cheraw, South Carolina, at the H. Cooper Black Jr. Memorial Field Trial and Recreational Area.  This event could not occur each year without the support of our sponsors, owners, handlers, volunteers and local communities.
Thank you to our two Diamond Sponsors –

Avery Sporting Dog

Nestle Purina PetCare

Year after year, this world-class event would not have happened with you.
And Thank You to ALL of our Sponsors through the years!
As the MNRC event grows each year, we do need more sponsors at every level to help defray the cost of birds, equipment, decoys, workers, judges’ expenses, free social events, etc.  The option is an unwelcome increase in entry fees.
Beginning in 2017, MNRC reached out to our professional handlers and trainers.  The response   has been amazing over the past two years.  We continue to reach out to this generous group of men and women who have always been there to help, not just at the MNRC Event but at every weekend AKC Hunting Test.
MNRC understands that many, if not most, of the professional handlers and trainers at weekend AKC Hunting Tests may not have bird workers other than their clients, spouse and children.  For this reason, among others, MNRC has relied upon paid bird workers the past several years.  Our paid workers have ranged from Field Trial Pro staff, to Craig’s Listings, to the wonderful Church crew in Oregon last year.  With the expected overwhelming number of entries in 2019 and beyond, we are reaching out to our larger retriever community for additional sponsors and donors to offset the cost of equipment, field labor and other expenses for this wonderful, growing retriever event.
If you are new to MNRC, welcome to the 2019 event!  Enjoy the ride!  The qualification to enter the event is truly a success.  The “Pewter Plate” is one of kind in the AKC dog world.  Many volunteers help forge the “Pewter Plate” and your contribution is greatly appreciated.
