Congratulations to Greg Johnson of Missouri on his appointment to the Board of Directors as our new Master National Treasurer. His background and skills positions him well to take over the duties of Master National Treasurer.
Current Hunt Test Treasurer Paul Brady has made a decision to retire from the MNRC BOD. Paul has been dedicated to the MNRC and will be missed. The Board thanks Paul for all he has given back to this sport and wishes him the best of luck in the future.
For more information about Greg please see his resume listed below:
My name is Greg Johnson and my wife, Kim and I have three grown children, 11 grandchildren, and 5 dogs. We are both retired from our professional careers and live in Southwest Missouri.
I have had a passion for duck hunting and duck dogs since I started hunting with my dad at 6 years of age. Duck season is still what I refer to as “the most wonderful time of the year”. I also enjoy pheasant, turkey, deer, and elk hunting. I have been an avid sponsor of Ducks Unlimited since my “Greenwing” days as a kid. I still attend multiple events annually.
In the mid 90’s I bought my first lab and started getting involved in the hunt test game. I recall my first HRC test. I was running started and after we wrapped up, I went to watch the finished test. I left the event amazed and questioned if I would ever have a dog capable of running at that level. Since then, I have had multiple HRCH and MH dogs and am blessed to have several MN plates. We currently have 4 labs, Manny, Riggs, Tripp, and Smack as well as a micro-mini golden doodle named Weller.
A couple of years ago, I retired from a 42-year career in the auto parts industry. During my career, I had the opportunity to serve on various boards, including Retrieving Freedom, a non-profit organization that is focused on training support dogs and wounded veterans and autistic children. I enjoy ranching, hunting, fishing, and traveling with my wife (and Weller).
It is an honor to serve on the MNRC board, and I look forward to helping the organization achieve great things!
