A word of caution for those who have never been to Texas properties . Beware of Red Ants also known as Fire Ants. Something you have to deal with in this area is biting ants that can inflict a harsh sting.
Locals use Original Formula Listerine to put on bites (it works! ) but you may want some after bite or Benadryl gel on hand.
