Results: HOF Exemption passes; '6 of 8' fails

ribbonsProposed By-Laws Changes
The Hall Of Fame Exemption proposed by the MN Board of Directors, that exempts Hall of Fame retrievers (MNH title holders) from having to re-qualify for the Master National each year has passed.  94 YES votes were cast, 18 No votes.
NOTE: This exemption will take effect on August 1, 2015 and will be applied to the 2016 Master National event at the August A. Busch Memorial Conservation Area on September 29 – October 9, 2016  in St. Louis.
The Revision to Qualifying Standards proposed by Western New York Retriever Club, Ohio Valley Retriever Club and Presque Isle Retriever Club of Erie, PA. failed.   There were 75 NO votes compared to 36 YES.  The proposal did not pass.  This By-Law change would have required a dog to pass 6 of 8 Master Hunt Tests at MNRC clubs to qualify for the Master National event each qualifying year.
A club-by-club tally of ballots can be found online.  Thank you to all of the clubs that took the time to discuss the issues and who voted on the proposals!
