MNRC is proud to announce that one of our junior handlers has won the federal Junior Duck Stamp art contest for the state of Alabama.
Judges have selected the painting of a wood duck by Engil Shanks of Birmingham to serve as the best-of-show artwork. Engil’s painting will now be moving on to Washington, DC to compete against other states in the federal Junior Duck Stamp art contest.
Engil, son of Rachael Shanks and son of pro trainer Melissa and Ray Shanks recently earned a Master Hunter title with his dog Hottie, at the Fall Line Retriever Hunt Test in Lincolnton, Georgia in March.
Congratulations Engil! We will be routing for you in Washington. Your painting is amazing.
