Welcome Handlers!
Congrats for qualifying and running in the largest AKC Hunt Test! We have been working very hard this past week to set up challenging, and fair tests.
You may know we were divided into two groups this week. The A judges and B judges. I’d like to recognize the B Judges. Will the B Judges please stand up
Please… direct any complaints to the B group. While on this topic, if you have any questions please direct them to your stake Marshall.
By now, you have years of experience, understand the rules, guidelines, and requirements of AKC Master Hunt Tests.
We know them too
So I’m just going to hit a couple of items.
Sportsmanship
I know I shouldn’t have to say this but…
Please respect the committee members, Stake Marshals, workers, judges, and fellow handlers.
We expect sportsmanlike conduct throughout the event.
Attire
Hunting attire is required so please use attire that is used in hunting. Please, no white clothing or white on the OUTSIDE of your hat.
Delivery
Please be respectful of the game. We are using buckets so just place the birds in the bucket.
No Birds
1st No Bird – you will be put back in the line-up after 3 dogs
2nd No Bird – you will be put back after 6 dogs
3rd No Bird – you will be placed at the end of the running order for the duration of the event. Fear not, there is a rotation, so you won’t be last forever.
4th No Bird – Talk to Charles Pugh
On behalf of all the judges, we wish you all a safe and successful Master National.
