Exemption of Hall Of Fame Dogs from Annual Re-Qualification
Purpose of the Amendment:
A dog passing its 3rd Master National and earning Hall of Fame status has proven that it belongs in the annual event and re-qualifying every year does not add any value to their worthiness.
The average age of a dog earning its HOF in 2014 was 6 ½ years. These dogs will be 7 ½ years old when they return to the annual event. There are only so many retrieves left in a dog when they reach this age and using them up by re-qualifying is not in the dog’s or our event’s best interest.
