The Master National Board of Directors has appointed Charles Pugh of Scurry, Texas Region 3 Director. Charles will fill the position left vacant as Chuck Strange becomes Region 3 Vice President.
Congratulations Charles and we look forward to working with you this year! To learn more about Charles, see his Bio below.
Hello, my name is Charles Pugh. I am a Texas native born and raised. I have been married to my lovely bride Judy for 45 years.
My love of retrievers began at an early age when I was introduced to waterfowl hunting. I have been hooked ever since on the love of a good retriever and the love of dogs. I have been competing in hunt tests for over 20 years now. Presently we have six labs of our own that are competing on a master level. I am an AKC Junior and Senior judge as is Judy.
We have worked hard to give back to this sport that we love so much. I am currently the President of the Rose Country Retriever Club in Tyler, Texas. I have been an active club member for the last seven years.
In addition to competing at the Master National for the last 12 years, I have also been competing in the Master Amateur Retriever Invitational. I have actively worked in my flight at both events. I have also served on the MARC Board of Directors as a Director for my Region for the last three years.
My goal has always been to be a part of the Master National Retriever Club and support the club in any way possible. I am humbled to be a part of the MNRC Board of Directors as Region 3 Director. I have a good relationship with Vice President Chuck Strange and look forward to working with him and the all of the Board.
