The Board of Directors of the Master National Retriever Club voted on May 11, 2016 to track qualifiers for the 2016 and future events within the framework of the MNRC organization.
This change follows a 14- month review of past processes and future possibilities of moving the tracking of qualifiers in house. In preparation of a possible change, MNRC member clubs were asked last August to start sending marked event catalogs to the MNRC.
The MNRC will secure data from the American Kennel Club which is the only official record keeper of event qualifications. This data will be combined with the MNRC’s extensive historical data to create the qualifier list for official publication, invitation list for mailing of congratulatory invitations, and email list for entrant contact.
Future uses of the data will be explored for value opportunities to the AKC Hunting Test community. The MNRC Board believes that the practice of securing data from AKC is a sustainable method of accessing important event qualifications.
MNRC Member Clubs are reminded to send a marked event catalog to:
Frank Barton, MNRC Event Secretary
c/o Barton Powersports 1901 S. Service Rd.
West Memphis, AR 72301
Please contact your Club’s MNRC Regional Director or Regional Vice-President if you have any questions. The contact information for MNRC Board Members can be found on the Master National website.
