Frank Barton – VP

Region II Representative

I started my retriever career in 1999 and in 2003 I attended my first Master National event in Thomasville, GA. At the conclusion of that event the MNRC Board appointed me as club secretary, which at that time also included the Event Secretary responsibilities. Over the next 20 years I served in various capacities for the Master National Retriever Club including Treasurer, Club Secretary, and Region 2 Director, but always maintained the Event Secretary responsibilities. In 2010 I was given the MNRC Vision Award which is the highest award given by the MNRC and has only been given to 5 people since the club began in 1991.

I get asked often why I have devoted so much of my time to the Master National. The answer has always been easy for me. It has been because of the people and their unconditional love for these exceptional dogs that have blessed our lives. For over 20 years I have watched your passion for this magnificent sport and my life has been blessed to have a small part in it.

Congratulations to all that qualify for the Master National. I hope that your journey will be as memorable as mine.
