Read a little about Shawn in his Biography Below:
My name is Shawn Kimberly, and I am honored to have the privilege to serve as Region 3 Director. My wife and I raised three wonderful children and have just recently been blessed with our first grandchild. We live just outside of Wichita, KS and have supported the Flint Oak Labrador Retriever Club for multiple years.
An avid hunter all my life, I have had the opportunity to hunt with talented dogs. I grew up upland hunting with my dad over English Setters, then we both transitioned to Labrador Retrievers shortly after I finished college. We shared so many memories upland and waterfowl hunting over the years. When not playing with dogs, I continue to enjoy hunting, archery, and watching football (KSU Wildcats and KC Chiefs…).
I am fairly new to the sporting dog world, putting my first dog with a local trainer eight years ago. I quickly got hooked on the hunt test game and have been handling my dogs at both Senior and Master stakes. I have been able to qualify and participate in both the Master National and Master Amateur events.
This sport has provided me with so many friends and experiences and I look forward to this opportunity to give back. Not having a long history of this prestigious event will give me an opportunity to ask more elementary questions and constructively challenge norms in an effort to further enhance the experiences of the dogs, handlers, owners, and judges. Please feel free to reach out anytime if you have any comments or suggestions.
Thank you again for this opportunity.
