A Message from MNRC President Sam Ferguson

On behalf of the Master National Retriever Club Board of Directors, I would like to welcome you to the 2015 Master National.
Sam Ferguson headshotThis year’s Master National event is the largest to date with five flights of 913 dogs and 183 dogs per flight.
It is an honor to be in South Carolina at the beautiful H. Cooper Black Memorial Field Trail Area.  We are doubly fortunate to have Cooper River, Neuse and Lumber River Retriever Clubs as our host.  These clubs have done a yeoman’s job preparing for what is to be an exciting and rewarding event for all.
Congratulations to all our participants on a job well done.  We know what an achievement it is to qualify for this great event and how much time and hard work your qualification represents.  We applaud the efforts and those of that beautiful animal at your side. Your qualification represents a very special bond and we want to make this event memorable for both of you.
I want to also thank the Master National Retriever Club Board of Directors for all their hard work this past year, without their volunteers efforts we would not be able to put this event together.  They along with the host club members have accomplished a very difficult task that culminates in this year’s Master National.  It goes without saying how fortunate we are for the slate of Judges we have this year.  We have a distinguished group and we appreciate their willingness to serve.
We must also thank our sponsors for their generous donations and time.  Please show your gratitude by patronizing these wonderful companies.
In closing, have a wonderful, fun filled adventurous time while in the friendly state of South Carolina and be careful on your travels.  The Master National Retriever Club Board of Directors wishes each and every one of you the best of luck and a successful outcome.
Sam Ferguson
President, Master National Retriever Club
