The following report was presented by Foundation President Jack Morris. After
recognizing the board members, Lynn Teague, Jimmy Hughes, and Gloria Mundell,
Jack gave the following information:
The 2025 activities of the Foundation have been:
Assisted Master National in funding three Advanced Judges Seminars: Colorado
Women’s Retriever Club, Yankee Waterfowlers Hunting Retriever Club, and
Umpqua Valley Retriever Club.
Presented the 2025 Bill T. Teague Handler of Year Award to Mr. Ronnie Lee of
Louisville, MS in the spring of 2025. Ronnie is the 10 th recipient of this prestigious
award.
Asked any previous awardees present at the meeting to stand. In addition to
Ronnie Lee, Bill Autry, Bob Neipert, Lyle Steinman, Jim Windham, Dr. Dennis
Greer, and Dr. Katie Quarles were named and many of them are at the 2025
event. When you see them, please congratulate them for their commitment to
the sport and especially their help at all events.
Reminded all present that there are three ways individuals and clubs can support
the Foundation. Those ways are:
Nominate a fellow handler participating at the 2025 event that exhibits all
the qualities of the BTT Handler of the Year for the 2025 award. Criteria
for the award can be found on the MNRC website. How To Nominate Handler of the Year
Encourage youth handlers to qualify and enter the MNRC Hunt Test and
then nominate a youth that participates in the annual event. The 2023
Youth Handler of the Year was Preston Anderson. Criteria for this award
can also be found on the MNRC website. Youth Handlers
And explained that the Foundation in a non-profit organization as defined
by the IRS. All monetary contributions to the Foundation are gratefully
accepted and are tax deductible to the fullest extent as allowed by law. By
doing so, you help the Foundation continue to support MNRC and the hunt
test program in general.
Foundation President Morris concluded his remarks by wishing all handlers best of luck
as they compete in the 2025 Master National.
